Sunday Services
YOU ARE INVITED to come and check out our Contemporary Service! Whether you grew up in a church, or have never stepped foot inside one before, you are welcome here. This church is a family where any person is accepted, no matter who you are, or where you have been. The Contemporary Service is our church's main worship service and is comprised of people from all age groups. Plan to arrive around 9:15 to gather and enjoy snacks and coffee in the Family Life Center and meet other people from FUMC. Sunday School for children ages 4 - 6th grade and childcare for younger children are both offered during the service. At 9:30 everyone is led by our Praise Team to take part in the worship service which includes contemporary Christian music, announcements, time of prayer, offering, and a sermon given by one of our pastors. The service lasts about an hour , sometimes a little longer, and has a casual atmosphere so there is no need to get dressed up. This is an ever-growing service which began in 1995 and now over 200 people gather each week to worship! Stop in and see what its all about!
At both 8:00 and 11:00am we offer a smaller Traditional Worship Services. These services are held in our Sanctuary and are more formal than the Contemporary Service. They feature music by our church organ and piano and are usually a selection from one of our choirs. Singing of hymns and reading of prayers and creeds play a major role here. The service also lasts about an hour and childcare is available for young children in the nursury.
