Youth
FUMC youth group is a great place to make friends, hang out, and learn about what God has to say about today's crazy world and how we can get to know him better. The group, led by our Assistant Pastor, Brian Neville, and his wife, Emily, consists of about 30 kids (7-12th grade) who participate in various activites and fundraisers such as the 30-Hour Famine, Relay for Life, Creation Fest, ski trips, retreats, Bible studies, and a yearly mission trip. Sometimes we switch things up and go to the movies, bowling, or have an overnighter at the church.
Anyone is welcome to check us out; you don't have to be a "churchy" kid or even attend our church to come. If you aren't sure about the existance of God or have lots of questions, you will fit in just fine with the rest of us! We have topical discussions and try to answer questions like: "Who is that Jesus guy anyway?" and "Why am I having such a hard time trusting God?" Of course we have lots of fun with each other too with games, snacks, and music. We usually meet in the Family Life Center (the big building with the flagpoles outside) on Sunday nights from 6-8pm. But don't be surprised if you show up and see us cramming into cars to go on some sort of adventure! Hope to see you there!
